Hey guys, so I just saw this one while Browsing a local knife website, and it looks insane!

Specs:
Benchmade 7505-132 Dual Action

NEW patent-pending dual-action auto release mechanism

Titanium frame lock with titanium tip-down pocket clip
Drop-point premium M390 stainless steel blade (60-62HRC)
Peel-Ply textured green G10 handle scales

BLADE LENGTH 3.90" (9.91cm)
BLADE THICKNESS 0.150” (3.81mm)
OPEN 9.08" (23.63cm)
CLOSED 5.18" (13.15cm)
WEIGHT 7.98oz (226.3g)
HANDLE THICKNESS 0.536” (13.72mm)
Pocket Clip: Titanium, Tip-Down
Lock Mechanism: Titanium Dual-Action Frame Lock
Class: Gold

However, it has a VERY hefty price tag, going for about $510.00 msrp. Do you guys think this one will be the next big thing, or flop because of price? Thanks!

I love it, but I think the price and the fact that its an auto will deter many

It will sell like most Gold class I imagine. Which I think they all sell eventually but there aren't a ton of them. I'm sure it will also be made as a blue or black class at some point and have a much more reasonable price.

The MSRP may be quite high, but if you factor in the typical 20-25% discount most retailers give you, it's not completely unreasonable for what it is. A titanium framelock with m390 and DA for $350 is pretty much a steal, especially when everyone considers the Grayman Satu to be such a good value, and it's about the same price.

edit: holy bad math.

Actually it comes to around $350 with the discount, so it's in small Sebenza range. Do you guys think the quality is there to compete with the mid-techs like Strider and CRK?

Looks like a nice blade and  to the Sibert design. The two screws in the bolster kind of kill the clean lines of the knife a bit but that's just my opinion. :foot:

Personally, I'd rather have a 7505-131... ;)

8oz is a bit too heavy for me, and it appears to be tip down only.

Unfortunately a deal breaker, as it's a gorgeous design.

Just by the looks of them they have the same quality as mid techs. And the materials used are top notch, the g10 could have been a different color but on the flip side it's nice to have something other then just all black knives. I know I am in for one, m390 is definitely my favorite steel and its looks like a tank! And being in an auto friendly state also helps too.

The steel and design have me interested greatly, however being auto makes it unlikely I will be getting one. Living in California has its drawbacks.

Looks fantastic. Loving the design. Definitely makes me think TAD Dauntless. The price is too deep for my pockets and I'm not a fan of autos really. But I sure can appreciate the great looks of this bad boy.

I agree on the Dauntless look! By the way, it's dual-action, so you can either remove the spring or just not use it and it'll open like a regular folder.

Insanely expensive and illegal in a whole lot of places... Doesn't sound like a combination that's going to have a huge following.

I saw this on one of the online dealers sites. Initially I was impressed till I noticed it was an auto and the tip-down option only. For $350 you are into Sebenza and Strider territory. I like the design, so if they come out with a tip-up, manual version for about $200 I'd be interested.

Make it a normal, blue class manual folder without the stupid auto mechanism and take $200 off the retail price, -$100 for nit being D/A and -$100 for not being a gold class lol.

The only thing about that is that the Grayman Dua I own is much higher quality than any benchmade framelock I've ever owned or handled.

Same here. But not a MSRP of $1200.

The action reminds me of the Microtech LCC D/A. I have a LCC manual action, and I like it better than the D/A.
