benchmade 755 detent from hell

just got my new benchmade mpr.all in all a nice knife but they went overkill on the detent.this is a thumb ripper of a detent . i have lubed it and still cant reliablely break the detent. anyone got a fix for this?any help will be appreciated

You already know this but...send it to Benchmade. I suspect the lock bar needs some minor adjusting.

All I can suggest is that you make sure you're not applying pressure to the lockbar when you try to open it. If it's just as hard to open left-handed, you'll need to send it to Benchmade.

well looks like its back to benchmade. drat i just got this importing it to swizzerland took a good bit of time and now it will be gone for weeks . i worked as a steel worker in my younger years and have big hands still left handed it is impossable for me to open in fact grabing both thumb studs and useing both hands is a struggle.thanks for the advice
