Benchmade 803 TSEK combo edge to plain edge?

Almost bought a BM 803 TSEK yesterday, but it was a combo edge, and I prefer plain edges. The owner customizes production knives, but told me that it would not ruin the blade, but would decrease it considerably to take the serrations off. The price is pretty good, I contemplated getting it and using it, serrations be damned. Decided against it, but now, thinking about it, could Benchmade do it? Any ideas on doing it? I can't do this myself, I would ruin the knife. I am going to email Benchmade at lunch, if I find out they can reprofile the edge and remove the serrations, I will buy the TSEK. If not, then I know I've exhausted all my options.
