Howdy- Just picked this up yesterday. I have been doing some research and see they command quite a premium in price. Should I go back and get the other two that were at the store?? Can anyone share any info or reviews on this blade? Once I saw it was m4 I jumped at it. Cant wait to find out if it is everything they say. I will say that it is easy to sharpen to a really high degree....my edge scares the hair off my arms. Anyway just wanting to hear from other owners, or even just people with opinions.
Cheers,
Patrick

Depending on what you paid for it might have been a good deal. They are in pretty high demand.

If there is any chance you want to email me the store name and location that would be pretty cool. Always looking to try the new super steel ;)

Nice score.

I have the Benchmade LFTi in M4, and I is a pretty amazing knife. If you want to get your hands on an M4 blade I would highly recommend it. I can't sharpen for beans, but I get M4 sharp, it's a little weird how easily this stuff sharpens up.

Its a M4 variant of the 806. The blade shape is pretty good for EDC, but it is the handle shape that really makes the 800 series of knives shine IMO.

M4 is a great steel in my experience.

If the price is in the $225 range or less for a plain edge version and you plan on hanging on to the knives for a few years, they could be a reasonable bet as a future profit maker. That is my opinion anyway.

The combo edge versions will probably catch up in desireability, it'll just take longer.

Either way, congrats on the knife. It should serve you well for years.
