This is not an ad, so I don't want an warning please...I'm thinking about thinning my herd of knives and since I'm relatively new to the forum I wanted some members thoughts on the knives that are on the fence for me? I hear each of them have their own small following and don't know which is going to be harder to find down the road. Also, when I do decide to possibly liquidate, could you give me some suggested price ranges to ask for?

The three knives that are on the fence are my Microtech Lightfoot LLC manual #233, Benchmade 806d2 (I hear there people that really like these) and my MOD Graciella Casilla-Boggs...

Thank you in advance for your help...

I'd say keep whichever one you use the most or like the most. Doesnt really matter how hard it will be to come by down the road if you dont really like unless your not using these and are looking to flip them in the long run. If your a collector then I'd have to say the 806 cause theres a huge following to those and theyll always pull a dollar.

Thanks Sparky...What's the huge intrigue with the 806d2? I know it's discontinued and an all around quality Benchmade, however, that's the one that I've actually carried the least and is in the newest condition...

The Benchmade will only increase in price as the years pass. Dunno about the Microtech and the MOD isn't a particularly well-regarded piece.

If you want to see what people are willing to pay for them, search the completed auctions on the evil bay.

G10 scales
titanium liners
thumbhole opener
D2 steel
Axis lock
blade just shy of 4"

This particular combination appeals to a LOT of folks, and AFIK the only knife to ever bring them all together is the 806D2.

I carried one every day for over five years (until it was replaced by a custom) and it's still one of my favorite folders. Last spring when I found myself in a situation where I couldn't have a gun but was legitimately worried about being attacked, the 806 was the knife I carried. That tells you how highly I think of it!

The liners of the 806 are stainless steel.

If selling to get cash, the Benchmade 806d2 and Microtech Lightfoot LLC seem to have enough disireability to bring a good price.

MOD knives just don't seem to bring as much cash.

If your just thinning to get rid of the unneccessary, the decision should be based upon what you actually use the most - get rid of the rest.

Keep the LCC. I have one and IMO it just may be the best custom/factory collaboration ever.

Hello.

If you're willing to depart from your 806, I'm willing to take it off your hands. =D

Lemme know.
