I recently aquired the 810 BK plain edge version. This is a Benchmade black class knife so it doesn't have the polish and refinement of the blue class knives. It's all work knife in my view. The blade is centered and it came razor sharp. It has the best lockup of any of my many axis lock knives. When I first picked the knife up it reminded me of holding a Texas horned toad. A little sandpaper action to the edges of the scales made it feel really good in the hand. It looks like a large BM 940 with G10 scales to me. The G10 scales are the roughest I have ever had, but I like them as many of my other BM knives are too slick. Great grip on these. I cut fiberglass tape and sheetrock with it and it was easy to restore the edge using a fine diamond stone. This is a good hard use work knife and I'm going to treat it as such. I can't really find any faults with this knife. At 135.00 dollars, it's a steal. I might get me another.

I agree with everything you said. I do have a few points to make that I discovered on mine:

-Jimping is very very aggressive, and at the back end of the giant choil, they actually kind of hurt. I had to grind down a bit on it, and I will probably grind down a bit more.
-axis lock is the normal one, NOT the beefed up one the Adamas got
-lack of flats make it hard to sharpen with a clamp-style system
