Hey All,
I was hoping someone could help me out with some info. I have an 810 at home which i have mixed feelings about. I'm very happy with the blade and the grip BUT the carbide breaker on the butt end of the knife scratches me about three times a day when I carry it.
I'm thinking about removing the backspacer and putting some barrel posts in to take their place, which will remove the carbide peice on the backspacer.
I've been looking around at various other Benchmades spacer sizes but I was hoping someone with expertise could point me in the right direction.
Again, i really like the knife...just needs a lil' tweaking.
Thanks,
db

A quick call to Benchmade should give you the size of the spacer, good time to see if they will replace it for you since it's causing an issue for you.

Wonder if you could put a lanyard ring where the carbide tip is?

That's not a bad idea. Fwiw I believe they are the same as the Rift.

Oops didn't see "blame it on God"s answer.

Thanks to all. I also measured and decided to order some spacers from McMaster-Carr. If it works out I'll post what I used and maybe a pic.
Thanks again,

THREAD! I command you! Rise from the grave!

Did you ever do this? I want my 810 to have barrel spacers like my rift.

I bought it brand new a few weeks ago and it was kinda dull so I just sent it to benchmade to get sharpened. When I get it back I may experiment.

I'm looking at Mcmaster-Carr at stainless barrel spacers. I'm going to dissassemble and mic everything, check screw size, and order several spacers.

Yup, .190" Ti.
:D

Got these from knife kits and had maprik anodize them for me.

That looks good. I just bought a used 810 from the classifieds for this project. I'll look at knife kits.
