I went to my local gun shop over lunch, looking for a diamond rod blade sharpener, and came out with a BM890 Torrent (20% sale, so it was only slightly higher than it should be). I really did not need another knife, but this was just too interesting. It felt good in the hand. Nifty pommel/lanyard at the butt, in case I need to thump something, too.
It has a few similarities to another BM favorite of mine, the 740/745 Lum's (low ride pocket clip, G-10 scales. The liner lock is much better than the 740- thicker, stronger, and ergonomically invisible. Also, I thought I was "over" the whole A/O thing, but this nitrous mechanism is actually pretty nice. The 154CM blade was another thing I liked, as mostly I carry S30V. I look forward to seeing the difference in how the edges perform.
