Howdy,

I just got my first Benchmade, a model 907D2 Mini-Nitrous Stryker. WOW!

It has a plain edge that came shaving sharp and it AO's with authority!

The scales are black G10.

Anyone else have this model? How do you like it?

Well done! I don't have one yet, but the mini-stryker's on my list of possible next purchases (after I contribute to Sal this week)

I only have a Gold class version, but all the good things you're talking about are there :)

I love mine. It's been my edc for about a year now..I'm surprised i don't see more hype/reviews on this thing as its an incredible little package..(blade shape, lockup, materials, fit/finish, ergos ect)

I have the 906 and love it . I put a thumb stud from a benchmade 940 on mine and like it much better. Its a very good EDC .

Yes, I have the same feeling. It really is a size efficient knife, lightweight and strong. The G10 scales are GREAT. It also has titainium liners.

I wonder why it doesn't get more interest?

Anyone else? I'd like to see/hear how these things hold up to heavy/hard use. After all, it is in the black series. The only thing i have a slight issue about is the D2 steel rusting. I have a few spots around the thumb stud, and a tiny spot on the blade. If they made this blade in s30v or coated the D2 better where i wouldn't have to worry about getting it wet, it would be 10x better.

What Benchmade SHOULD have done is made this an assisted AXIS.
Still my fav EDC though.

I just got the 913D2 a few weeks ago, and I love it. The smaller version is on my wish list. Just because.

sorry for raising this thread back from the grave but i didn't want to start another thread about the mini nitrous stryker. just want to ask how sharp the blade came out of the box. i ask because i saw some reviews saying that their BM stryker did not come as sharp (shaving sharp/paper cutting) as they expected it to be. this is bothering me coz i just ordered one and the blade is D2 so i might have a hard time sharpening it.

TTpower, fairly sharp (sometimes sharp but rough). Use diamond stones on the D2 or wear you arm out and dish out regular stones. D2 doesn't need to be stainless (its right on the verge anyway) and it will hold a very sharp edge a long time then a passable one almost forever. I love D2 because I only have to touch it up every other month or so.

I've got a large tanto with combo edge - i got a really good deal on it at the time so I took it.

The liner lock gets loose with time - and I think it is from the action of the assisted opening.

Mine opens hard, and I think it just rattles the knife around a bit with continued use.

I still like mine a lot - one of these days I will send back to BM for some spa treatment.

oldschool, thanks for the advice. i'll get a diamond stone incase the time comes to sharpen my d2

I got the full-sized Nitrous Stryker, it is a great tactical blade. (I used to sleep alone in the woods holding one just in case..)
Believe me, you will want the bigger one...

Mine came very sharp, just like my Caly3 but with less acute angles.

I really love my Strykers! It´s not hard to sharpen D2, it just takes much more time! I use a Sharpmaker with regular stones. 5 minutes every other day for 2-3 weeks will get them shaving sharp!!

I've got a full size and love it. I live in a pretty humid environment though, so i've gotten some light rusting in the past. not hard to take out though.

Resurection..
Well, for those who curiouse about the BM 907D2, which was an edc knife of mine from 2007, if I remember correctly.
Not that this was the only knife I'd carried, but this Mini Nitrous Stryker was in my pocket like 60-70% of time. I was using it on everything - starting from opening tin cans and preparing a meal, finishing with wire streaping/cutting and deer processing.
Extremely underrated assisted folder.
Here are two mini Strykers, the 90/1000 (lnib condition) and mine 965/1000.
P.S.: the mini version of first production Nitrous Srtykers have their blades hardened to 63-64Hrc, while bigger ones got 61-62Hrc.
Sorry for waking this up 😀
