Benchmade 9100 No washers?

I disassembled the Benchmade 9100 today which I bought as brand new without packaging and got a little surprise when I saw this folder has no washers. The reason I disassembled this was because the open and close action was a bit stiff and the blade very misaligned. Before re-assembling this I need to know if it really comes without washers. I just looked at mine without taking it apart.

There appears to be a while Teflon looking washer in the button side but no washer on the other side. Mine is from around 2006.
