Anybody had this happen?

Got it new in the mail. Opened it about 30 times. I noticed that the blade began to wobble. Up and down. Side to side is tight.

Put a bit of pressure on the liner lock and the blade is solid again.

Is the liner too short or what?

****PROBLEM SOLVED...SEE LOWER POSTING****

Try putting more of a bend on the liner if you know how to take it apart.. If not, i would send it back to benchmade for a fix..

if you got the knife new it is under warranty and bm will fix it free. if you go in and gooble around with it and you have a problem down the road you may be on you own. just my .o2

True.

I went and bought the Blue Box tool kit from Benchmade.

The upper screw wasn't perfectly tight.

This was the problem. They designed the 912 Stryker VERY
well. The liner lock doesn't hold the knife in place alone. It has
a "bar" at the top. The upper screw tightens to move this bar around.
The flat edges meet perfectly with the top of the blade.

Thus, ensuring a perfect fit.

Well done Benchmade.

Knife is 100% again.

Glad you got the problem solved. You might want to use some blue loctite on that screw to ensure it doesn't loosen up again.
