Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Switchback Benchmade 921. I am interested in it for several reasons. I would like a mid-sized folder that was not tactical looking. I am tired of people not believing me when I tell them my 710 is a tool and not a weapon though admittedly it is a meanacing tool. I like the wharncliffe blade for utility cutting and I feel the second slipjoint blade gives it more of a traditional pocket knife appearance. And I wanted something with S30V blade steel, trying to get one of every popular steel in my collection. I am also quite fond of the axis lock and would even say adverse to buying any other kind. I have checked it out at the local shop and it feels good in my hand. Action was a bit stiff but so was my 710 and after some Milspec and some breaking-in it its smooooth.

So if anyone has concerns, critisizms, or praises of this particular model, it would be much apreciated :)

Thanks!

Just bought one yesterday! Took it to work with me last night and 2 people i work with went to buy one today they liked it so much. 1st it just looks cool, then it's very carryable sits well in the pocket and is light. The blade on mine is one of the sharpest I ave ever bought straight from the box, even the small blade is sharp. The 1st thing I noticed when I picked the knife up at the store is the fit and finish of it, I think it looks better then any BM ive handled before. I like a Wharncliff blade myself so the look of the 921's main blade is nice to me. The color blue on the handles is exciting and catches the eye. Also the pocket clip is diff. then any BM I have seen before in its shape but it works well and looks nice. I am interested in how this S30V steel is going to preform and how hard its going to be to sharpen it, but that Wharncliff blade should be a easy sharpening angle.

I think because of the shape, color and design of the knife people dont "fear" it they seem to like it alot. So will make it easy to carry most anywhere. I recommend it myself I like the one I bought already and it sure to become a regular EDC of mine.

Took these pics yesterday:

As you may have gathered from the exchage section. NGK is where I intend to buy mine. Your price is very very reasonable and you can add that to my list of reasons I want it:D:D:D

I would have mentioned it previously cept for the fear they may be sold out by the time I get my paycheck :p
