3.87" blade of 20CV and weighing just 4.86 ounces. Flipper opening with bearings and can also be opened with the thumb studs. $250.

The color scheme is kind of funky. Looks like another narrow profile Osborne design.

The design hasn't immediately struck me one way or another -but I am very happy to see all of the variety in the new 2016 designs people are posting the last few days. Way cool.:thumbup:

698 and now this, Benchmade is bringing the heat for next year.

I'm torn. I want to like it but I need more pics

It's the best looking of their new offerings.

The precinct is fugly. Just bad

The amicus is looking ok I'd like to see more pics of it too. The stock phots of both give the blade an odd point

Fugly, but who knows, might operate well. I'm glad their coming out with new stuff. Should be something for everybody.

I'm sure it will be a fine knife construction/quality and use wise, and the price isn't as high as might be expected, but aesthetically all I have to say is: what is Benchmade thinking?

Color scheme, sharpening choil, machining. Maybe I'd like it better in person. Hopefully the Benchmade b&m dealer near me will have it.

I don’t get the fascination with flippers lately, but I’m glad BM is coming out with some new designs

Other than the color scheme, it looks okay to me...for a frame lock. But I'm no fan of flippers and I'm really bored with the titanium frame lock trend. I do love the narrow profile Benchmade models.

That Crooked River looks AMAZING! Also the Protagonist looks great.

I wish they didn't use the orange pivot and backspacer, otherwise awesome looking knife. Kind of a variation on discontinued HD Hardtails.

This design is sort of reminiscent of the Southard Tolk. Anyone agree?
I think the size will put it out of my range. Very few knives over 3.6" blade get me interested. I just don't need a handle that large for EDC. Funny enough, the new Hunt with the 4" blade may just be slim enough, but I would probably want to get one in hand first.

I just preordered the 928. When are these going to be released?

Of all the new ones, so far, only 698 appeals to me.

I would've liked the 928 if it looked more appealing. It may have been just a small change from the tan to gray G-10.

I need a better picture of the blade. That pic makes it not look like a drop point but like some weird cheese knife

I'm hoping it's the angle and the blade is more like the Southard Tolk
