Benchmade 930

I need any information on the Benchmade 930. Emerson inspired I believe. Current value if new in clamshell packaging? Help

if you are referring to the 970, 975, or its variations, i would put its value at between 125-250 depending on the model.

they came in black, blk/serrated, bead blast, bb/serrated, and titanium carbide (970st).

Yes indeed. This one is, according to the owner, produces approximately 10 years ago. It it in a clear vacuum type plastic container and the price is$175.00 advice?

the production date sounds about right.

the titanium is the least common.

i believe the blk/plain edge is next, then blk/serr, bb/pln, bb/serr.

is it the small or large?

and does it have the original box?

as far as i know, they did not come that way. they were indeed in a mylar bag, but it was not vacuum sealed.

sounds like someone did that after.

There's one of these on the 'Bay. Interesting that it's labeled 970SB. I've seen these before in the the clear plastic package meant to hang on a store rack. I suspect Benchmade sold 'em this way for awhile. Sure wish I knew about Benchmades back then, and I wonder what it originally went for!

Now you see low-end CRKT's and such sold this way, but not Benchmades. My how times have changed!

same knife, same packaging? id say it is on the high end, but not entirely unfair.

the 970/975's were patterned after the CQC7 not the '6, they really dont look at all like a '6 FWIW.

$175 is imho a lot for a 970/975 i have seen them for sale this yr for ~$125 or so, FWIW i prefer the EKI CQC7 to the BM variety due to the EKI's are tip up, and also some are waved, prefer the SOCFK to either one.

i wouldnt pay $175 for a 970/975 myself. better stuff around for that kinda dollar imho, a few yrs back i got a lightly used 975Sbt for $70, i know they have gone up some but man thats a lot for one. thats certainly the high end of what ones worth, MAYBE $200 tops, now some models are worth that, the ti/carbide one is for sure, but not the std model imho.

IIRC i have seen some BM's in the clamshell packaging.
