Which would you guys get? They are roughly the same price and both have g10 scales. Which is the superior edc knife? Which do you think you would be most proud to pull out of your pocket? Thanks.

Benchmade 940-2 vs 556-1 Griptilian?

Can't go wrong with either. Handle both and pick the one that feels best to you. If you can't handle them both first, then just buy both, carry for a month or two, and sell the one you like least.

I went to the store with the intent to buy the 556-1 and left with a 940-2 instead.
You can't go wrong with either of them but the 940-2 just seemed more special to me. The longsword shape is more elegant, unique, and gentleman-y, probably more appealing to the average bystander. It was also more entertaining to flip, if that's a factor for you =)
I ended up buying more Benchmade knives down the line but never wanted a 556-1 again or gave my decision a second thought.
The Griptilian is surely the stronger of the two, but for EDC, it likely won't matter.

Personally I’d go with the griptilian because it has better steel and I like the feel of the handle more.
