Can you EASILY disassemble & swap out the blades on BM 940's?

A friend has a green 940 w/ serated blade & I want to buy a Blue handled 940 which has plain edge.

We want to swap blades.

How hard would this be to do?

Not very hard--if you remember all the steps backwards--but you'll void the warranty.

I tried it and it got all messed up! They are very difficult to take apart and put back together. Send them back and have BM do it for you.

I have a green one and took it apart so that I could polish the clip and hardware. Not too bad to get back together, takes some patience to insert the blade and washers back into the Axis module and to get the pivot pin back through.

Taken mine apart several times. It is a little patience trying but it can be done. I take ALL my knives apart to be periodically cleaned, with the exception of the ones that can't br taken apart.
