940 vs 903
S30v vs 154cm
Aluminum vs g10
3.4 blade vs 2.95
I would be using it for cardboard tape papers plastic and food prep

I haven't handled a 903, but I do really like the 940. As for the comparisons:

S30V vs. 154CM - both are excellent steels and would work more than adequately for the uses you listed. S30V generally has better wear resistance than 154CM.

Aluminum vs. G10 -this is more a matter of preference. The G10 on the 903 looks like it's textured, so it may offer better traction. Textured G10 will also wear out your pockets faster. Personally, I haven't found the aluminum on the 940 to be slippery, even when I'm sweating profusely in our 100+ degree summer days.

3.4" vs. 2.95" blade - this can also be a matter of preference. Length restrictions can vary by location. The 940 is a deceptively compact knife for having a 3.4" blade though. The Mini-Grip has a 2.9" blade, and I haven't ever found that length lacking for my EDC uses either.

I recieved a 903 almost 2 months ago and nothing has replaced it yet,I find the 940 a great knife but for me I like the handle shape of the 903 and the ability to hide in my front pocket and the watch pocket is a great advantage to me .You might find the longer blade on the 940 better for food prep but for every thing else ....the 903 shines for me ,the cutting edge is exactly the same as my small sebenza ,funny eh? today I was looking to see if I could find a black blade 903.Would love to have it stone washed like another knife company,I think it would look great!

Two different knives. The 943 is a must have or try. It's a top tier EDC based on pocket space, weight, ergos, blade length, materials. It could be the last knife you buy. Seriously. (but we all know we have a sickness, but it's that good).
