Benchmade 940

I already own the 940-2 but I can't resist the desire to get the original aluminum 940.I know that it scratches easily and I'm not the bigest fan of that thick grind blade.I never handled one.Does anyone have both and can give me an insight?

I have a 940-2, 940-1601 and a regular green aluminum handled 940. I use all three (4 if you count a 943). The aluminum handles are thinner in hand than the g-10 and thicker still is the CF(only by a hair but thicker nonetheless). I actually like the feel of the regular 940/943 better that the other's but I still enjoy carrying all of them.
