I am the original (and sole) owner of #57 (of 100) of the Gold Class Benchmade 940 DM Osborne damascus folder. I purchased it in 2004 from Grand Prairie Knives in Troy, Illinois. It is in immaculate condition; it has been displayed and very infrequently (and gently) handled, but never carried or used in any way.
I will sell the knife for $1,050 to any USA buyer. At my expense, I will ship it to the buyer in its original packaging - which includes the knife's certificate of authenticity - via USPS Registered Mail (insured, with delivery restricted to the buyer himself or herself). I will send the knife within two business days of receiving payment in the form of a USPS Money Order. I will NOT accept certified or personal checks, other types of money orders, etc.
I have an album of photos of the knife (and its packaging), taken today, at Photobucket. The photos are high resolution - and I didn't want to clutter up the forum with thumbnails, since a serious buyer will want a detailed look at the knife. If things are working correctly, you should be able to view the album by clicking on the following URL - or copying it and pasting it into your browser:
[URL eliminated on Wednesday, 9/1/2010 at 7:15 p.m. CDT - because the knife has been sold!]
If you have any questions, please send me a PM. As soon as the knife sells, I will post that piece of news as a comment to this thread. Thanks very much for considering this offer! I hate to part with this beautiful knife, but I have other priorities right now and the 940DM deserves a new owner who will really enjoy it.
