Benchmade 940ti-400

This is my first post, so 'howdy' to everybody.

I saw a listing on eBay last week for a Benchmade "940TI-400". The blade had etched '1 of 125'. It wound up selling for $260 (I was not the winner.)

Is this a new 940TI? If I remember the original 940TI was individually numbered and I think they had a run of 500 knives.

Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, this is a slightly different run.

If you read the description, the handles are two-tone. They're not as varied as the 941ti-01 are, but they are two-tone. The original Benchmade released run (this is a distributor/dealer special order) were all one color on the handles, and were numbered of 500.
 
There is also a NICA version and this may be what that was. There is also a ti framed damascus 941 that is the other NICA offering.
 
Yes, the new 940ti-400 is a special run sold through NICA dealers (brick and mortar) only. Details are in the NICA advertisement in the new issue of BLADE Magazine on page 14. The two tone titanium handle (polished flats and blasted contours) is a handle finish unique to these NICA knives only. There are 125 pieces (all of which are marked "1 of 125") of the S30V blade version, and 75 pieces of the same two tone handle but with damasteel blade. Prices are $249/$399 respectively.

Spot on. This is the NICA edition.

I know where a couple can be had if anyone is looking...
 
I'm new to forums, so not sure about format, so I'm putting this here...

I have recently purchased a handful of knives and this is one of them. I'm trying to figure what it's current value would be.
Any help/info would be appreciated.
