Benchmade 942

I have a Satin Black Half Serrated Titanium 940 Osborne with a blue backspacer. Bought it years ago (used with no box) because I didnt like the purple/pink backspacer but recently became interested in looking it up again. Unfortunately I cannot find anything on this exact knife and was wondering if it was a limited edition production. It has the original handle and blade, and is labeled as a 942 just under the Benchmade logo. Patent number is 5737841.
Just looking for a little more information on the knife as I know it was made before the carbon fiber line came out.

The 942 was discontinued a few years ago. It's just a 940 in the black 943 handle. Nothing limited about it but it could fetch a few more bucks to the right collector.

Color-wise, the 942 has always looked better to me. It was in regular production for a long while; it just looks like the 940 was the better seller.
