I'm looking into getting this knife. I am looking for a successor to my mini-grip, and would like to know if this one would be good.

1. How is the grip on the aluminium handle? Is it satisfactory, or somewhat slippery?
2. How is the blade? Not too fragile, is it?
3. Is it worth the price ($110) if upgrading from a griptillian, or no?

I have a 941 (same shape, different colored handle).

The grip is not as good as the Griptillian, but it's still very good. It's a powder-coat on the aluminum scales and feels slightly rough. Not slippery.

The blade is thinner and narrower than the Griptillian and made of 154CM, so it's not as much of a prybar, but it's good for several applications and, due to those same factors, cut easier and deeper.

It's a worthy purchase unless you're looking to use that same money to buy holiday presents. The 943 and Mini-Griptillian (555 or 556) are completely different animals. Having both increases the enjoyment of each.

I simply adore my new 941 (Thanks Thom):p It is a wonderful size, and seems quite "agile" for lack of a better term, compared to many other knives of it's size.

Jeff/1911.
