Looking for a new edc, and can't decide between the two. I'll end up getting both eventually too. Which one should I get and why?

With custom scales it's a no brainer, ritter hands down. In stock form, the 940 packs more blade into a slim package and feels nicer due to the aluminum scales as opposed to the noryl gtx on the ritter. But for me, the ritter blade is hard to beat.

940 or 943
Why?
- Slim overal ergos
- Lightweight, perfect for EDC
- Will not feel it in pocket compared to the Ritter
- Will last you for years of abuse

And all the mini-grips/Ritter's are too small IMO - especially in a grown mans hands.. I would start with the 940/943

943 No question. Longer blade, disappears into the pocket, comfortable handle, light weight, very slick action. One of BM's best.

When I think of my "nicer" Benchmades, the 943 is the first model that pops into my head.

I EDC'd mine for a while before I felt bad about beating up such a beautiful knife.

Had both, would get both of them but if I had to choose one, ritter grip with wilkins scales for me.

Have both and love both. The 940 is a lot of knife in a small, light package. I have several mini grips, but my yellow Ritter is my favorite. I'd go 940 first. I wished I picked one up years ago.

Just order the 943! I'm pretty excited, it's my first higher end folder. I'll probably end up buying the mini Ritter by the end of the month.

Grats! If you're anything like me, you'll be checking that tracking number eighteen times a day until it arrives.

Congrats Op! The 940 is my favorite benchmade to edc. You'll love it. And of course, you'll love your mini grip too.
