Hi Guys,

I am thinking about purchasing a Benchmade 950 Rift, but I am worried about the sharpening.
I have a Lansky sharpening system, and I am not sure if it would be able to clamp down on the blade shape of the Rift.
Do any of you guys have tips on clamping blade shapes like this?
Here's a picture of the Rift... you'll know what I mean when I say I can't clamp it once you see the picture.

Get some foam tape to help take up a little space. I have no issues clamping mine in the wicked edge.

I don't quite understand. Would I just put the tape where I want to clamp? If you don't mind could you post a picture? Thanks.

I would stick it in the jaws of what ever system you are using. The biggest thing is the foam will compress since it is soft and form to the shape of blade.

So I would stick it onto the clamp instead of the knife? Also, with this technique can you still get a relatively accurate angle when sharpening?
Thanks for helping me out.
