Anyone else see this BM advertised in this months Blade Magazine? Looks like micarta or G-10 handle material cut down to show some grain, Axis lock, and the reverse tanto blade. No specs were given, but it is an Osborne Design according to the ad. Just curious and couldn't find any info at BM website.

There were a few others that saw that ad also. Someone made mention of it at BM's forum. Probably won't be out until after the SHOT show.

Im not saying this info is right but its what is posted onthe benchmade forum:

950 Specs
3.67" reverse tanto blade of 154CM
Closed length 4.6 inches
Weight: 4.8 oz
Grey/black G-10, textured
MSRP $180-$192

Also be on the lookout for the Osborne Kulgera Axis, the Nakamura Shoki, and the 1100 Pen Series [yes...Benchmade is making pens]

The 950 Rift specs are:

Warren Osborne design
Axis Lock
Reverse Tanto
154CM steel
Blk/Charcoal layered G10 scales, double 420J Steel liners
config: 950, 950SBK
Blade Length: 3.67"
Blade thickness: 0.114"

Closed: 4.60"
Weight: 4.80 oz.

Plus a whole slew of other new knives, pens, hooks and Salad Shooters.

This thread is over 2 years old but it's ok cause it's such a great knife. It is personally my favorite knife, period. Post up picks because the carbon fiber on that one looks great.

I am surprised that it sounds like the Rift is only 2 years old. I guess I need to try to find the date I bought mine because I could have sworn it was early 2007 and that I have been carrying it for 3 years. Maybe I got the year wrong?

I had 7 of the Rifts but traded one away so I'm down to 6. I have 1 of the two tone, 1 of the 950-801, a few of the 950-1001 with M4 blades , and the rest are the black G10 handled one. The M4 version is basically my grail knife and one went into my pocket the day I got it and hasn't left. I have been thinking about putting the carbon fiber scales on one of the M4 versions but don't see the need yet. As good as the M4 steel is I had to track down extras in case I ever lose my EDC.

Sorta shocked me to see I was the author of this thread as it was done in '08. But Fla is right about it beibg such a great knife that old posts are aok to revive! Looking to get the auto version sometime this summer.
