benchmade 960 steel mislabeled?

Hi guys,

I have a benchmade 960slv. The blade is marked as 154cm steel, however a bit of googling has showed that this may just be a labeling mistake and that the blade is really D2.

I was wondering if anyone can confirm this? I wasn't able to find any official documentation from benchmade. In fact, I wasn't able to find many references to this issue at all (but this could be just my google-fu failing)

Thanks for any info you can provide!
