I don't know about how rare it is but you can send it in to Benchmade and they should sharpen it up like new. Or is shipping to costly from Australia ? If so there must be some good knife experts there that can do it.
Call them and find out if it is a keeper. (Valuable)
Thats what I'd do.

how would that convert to u.s. dollars?

the blk/serrated is not as common as the beadblast finish. but in that condition, i would not pay more than 75.00 u.s. (even that would be a stretch).

also note, that is not the original clip.

i suggest getting the waved 7 you really want.

i agree with mori, not long ago i got a used 975 for $75, a LNIB 970 would be worth $150 tops, realistically more like $125 or so.

that knife is pretty used, i wopuldnt want it at any price, myself.

i suppose it would be ok as a user for someone at about $50 or less.

But I'd emphasize that the lack of unique features like the clip (distinctly not Benchmade!) and the unknown origin of the damage mean one thing to me. If you like it buy it but not as an unusual piece!

To me that price seems a bit steep unless you know what got the blade in that condition. I would be a little suspicious it was just hard use and not a lack of understanding/skill sharpening the serration. But if it was mechanically sharpened, was it over heated, etc. I'd at least ask some questions- or look around for one on this list. :D

its a user. from a benchmade collector friend of mine. i think ill just hold out till someone sells me a waved cqc7

the only way that '7 would be worth $150 is if was carried by richard marchinko on a mission, and ya had documenst to prove it lol.

i too would wait and get something else, that knifes kinda beat up for that kinda dollar imho.

150.00 AUD
