Anyone with experience with this blade? Im looking for a new EDC fixed 3-4 in.,below $125.00. Comments on the D2 and blade shape? Thanks!

I've got one. I had to buy some DMT Dia-Sharp Stones to get it like I wanted it. It is now razor sharp after the DMT's and then some convex type sharening with sandpaper on mouse pads. It really holds a great edge! I love the Snody design! I carried it daily for a few months (land/ everything surveyor) and it never let me down. However, my next purhase was a Bark River Knife & Tool. Then another BRK&T, then another BRK&T then another BRK&T......... BM Actvtr+ sheath rides a bit low for me even after mod.s, and ...... Well it's a great knife, but it's not seeing much use at the moment. I'm sure if I had a "real Mike Snody".... This "Is a great knife!" I have just turned to the "Bark Side." Good steel, good fit, good finish!

I rotate my daily small fixed blade between a Rinaldi Matrix and the BM210.

It is a great little knife , stays out of the way , has just enuff handle to give a good grip and cuts like a mofo. plus it looks darn good too..

plus they make a darn nice pair. ;)

Well I have a BM201 and I love it. It would be a beast to sharpen w/o diamonds but once you are there the D2 cuts like a devil( I think BM should be known for obtuse cutting edges from the factory).

It's look is not flashy but it's bite is hard. The small belly of the blade really grabs and slices. I have found it more than adequate for field and camp use.

AND it is about as stainless as most of my other SS knives.

Dang those are some nice knives you have there they almost look like they were both designed by snody because of the handles.

Thanks for the replys guys! Great pic John T. Is the kydex sheath teather only or can it be belt mounted?

Sheath for this one is aftermarket , bought it thru Dweikum at EDCKnives.com , had it for a few years. Worn horizontal with a small tec-lock. Hides in plain sight.

Sounds like the Activator+ will be what you want. D2 is a great knife steel and Benchmade's heat-treatment of it has always been good (even though I thought otherwise when I wasn't a good sharpener  ).

Hate to muddy the waters, but you might also look at a Fallkniven wm-1, it "tastes" very similar.

Well, i ordered the BM Activator+ this afternoon and while i was at it ordered a BRKT Bravo 1. Thanks for the replys !

I didn't really like it. The thumb jimping was a little too far forward on the spine for me and I wasn't keen on the recurve.
