I am very interested in the Benchmade Activator and think that it could make a wonderful EDC. I have read the specs on this knife but there is nowhere near my house to handle it before buying. Does anyone in this forum own the Activator? I have somewhat larger hands; does the handle feel thin or substantial in the hand? I would love to see pictures of the Benchmade Activator next to something to give it scale.
I really appreciate any and all feed back.

Thank you.

I have the original Activator and I love mine. The only downside is that it has a tendency to slide too far into the sheath, poking out the other side. Just a bit, but enough to wake you up when you hand brushes against it. If you have larger mittens, I don't think this is going to be the knife for you. I have pretty small hands. Well, small hands. Too many scars to be considered pretty anymore. But soft. I have very soft hands.
Anyway, the Activator feels slightly on the small side to me.
Here is a quick pic that I snapped just now.

Hope that helps some.

I have medium size hands (I guess) and I find the Activator to be very comfortable to use. It is a small knife, but that's what I like about it. Even in a sheath it disappears on my belt. Cuts great. Very easy to carry. But, I agree with KC, if you have very large hands you might want to hold one first before buying.

It's really pretty, I thought about getting it, but I'm having Gary Bradburn make a couple of customs instead...

Love it one of my favorite belt carry knives. Medium hands, just right. I've got the same one that is in the picture and like it enough to consider getting the newer darker handled one also.

Thank you very much for posting a picture of the knife. I really appreciate all the feedback, even if it is a bit small it looks to be a very nice knife.
Thanks again.
