I posted a similar thread in the GKD about the Adamas, and forgot that there’s a Benchmade subforum. What’s the general consensus on the Adamas 275? I don’t know that much about cruwear, how does it perform? I’m using this knife as a EDC to replace a fixed blade that kept digging into me while seated. This knife will see moderate to hard use, cutting a lot of 1/4-3/8” poly. How’s the edge retention? Thanks is advance!

I bought one of these for my son-in-law as a gift for Father's day. He liked my BM Vallation but there were no more available at the exchange so the Adamas looked like the next best option. It has a very smooth action and even though it is bigger than the mini Vallation, he liked it immediately. It fits in his pocket well so you shouldn't have any issues. The blade is fairly stout as folders go so I expect that there would be no problem standing up to hard usage and it fits well in my hand. The fit and finish on the knife was good. I have no first hand knowledge of the blade wear but I have never had any issues with edge retention on my BM knives so i doubt that my son-in-law will either. I like the BM axis lock and feel that it is a very solid way of securing the blade in place. I have two BM knives, both equipped with the axis lock. Neither one has ever failed me. I can not same the same thing about the Emerson liner lock on my Mach 1 knife.

Edge retention for CPM Cruwear is very similar to 4V and S35VN, so quite good. Plus Cruwear is very tough and semi stainless.

I've got a Mini Adamas and I love it. Excellent ergos and it's a pocket tank.
