Hello

I’d like to get a Benchmade with the following specs:

Size of the Delica or a tad larger. This is the best size for my liking/needs/hands.
Shape/looks of the Benchmade AFCK or 710, both in handle and blade shape.
Thin like the delica or AFCK
AXIS lock.

Is there a Benchmade like this? If not what is the closest to the above specs?
Doesn’t matter if it’s a discontinued model, I’ll try to find it one way or another.

Thank you

How about the benchmade 805? Going to have to do some hunting around though. or an 806.

Cheers guys.
There is nothing wrong with the 710 and 806. I love them. They are just too big though. And I live in Europe. They don't make a proper edc.
A 707 sequel maybe? I discovered this knife few minutes ago. What do you think?

What you have EXACTLY described is a now discontinued Benchmade 705:

I really like my 710 and wanted the "mini" version as well but didn't want to pay the $300 they are going for right now. Instead, I settled for a Benchmade 14210:

Consider the Mini Griptilian/Mini RSK Mk1, the 943/940 Osborne, 525/527 Mini Presidio/Mini Presidio Ultra

Top to bottom:
Mini RSK Mk1 (model 558)
525 Mini Presidio blade in 527 Mini Presidio Ultra handle
Delica (3 series)
943 Osborne
Modded 940 blade in handle from 941D2CF
732 Ares

The Sequel is a good knife that fits all your criteria. Its big enough to feel like a proper knife, yet small enough to edc. Axis lock is a winner and it comes with a 154CM steel. Go for it, you wont be disappointed.

Thats a wicked looking blade. Love the spearpoint and swedge! Id get one if it wasnt so damn expensive compared to other BM's.

Many thanks, again :)

I like almost all of the suggested knives.

Cheers for the pic Steven. Together with the delica is very helpful.

I haven't been impressed with any of BM's 154CM thus far. I'd definitely recommend a Ritter Grip or Mini-Grip. Also there's some nice HK blades out there.

Thank you for mentioning the 154cm mate. Details please? Never had a 154 blade.
While I have very nice experience with D2 and VG10, I was unlucky with two S30V blades in the past. Both chipped.

The 806 in D2 attracted my attention highly. Looks like the perfect knife for my taste. But here a 4inch locker is asking for trouble. Of course another problem is the high price on the secondary market. And truth be told, a big folder is not that comfortable in the jeans pocket.

I lucked out on a used ATS34 705 at a knife club meeting, about 30 bucks if I remember correctly. That was about 5 years ago. I gave up on trying to carry smaller one hand opener folders comfortably. The 705 will be thicker than the Delica, but both knives are great.

Personally, I would go with a mini Grip, either 555 or 556.

For what 154CM is, I feel Benchmade does it up right. I started the thread linked to above, and as I state (and about everyone else), it is a steel that does everything pretty good. It's no slouch and is perfect on a user blade that will need to be touched up. Nicking a 154CM blade on a staple is no where near as devitating as nicking a ZDP or M4 blade (due to sharpening time).

Finally I decided to go with the 707. It's the closest to my likes.

Thanks again for the help and advice. Much appreciated.

I know Steven. And I think that's good. The less the attention it attracts the better.
I didn't want the mini grip because of the quite fat handle.
Of course if the 707 doesn't feel comfortable at hand then we have a problem but i hope it will be fine.
I see this mainly as a gentleman's folder with cool features and looks. For outdoors and hard tasks I'm olny using fixed blades anyway.

154CM is a really good all around steel. I'm sure you will find it easy to sharpen when the time comes. It holds a good edge for a reasonable amount of time. Certainly not as good as say S90V, but it is perfect for daily tasks.
