What is going to be the differences in the 800 AFCK and the newer 804 AFCK. All that I have found out is that the 804 will be available with a 3.25 and 4 inch blade. The Benchmade web site is down right now due to updates, so that is all that I know about it.
By the way, I love the 800 AFCK, and it is my every day carry knife. Dollar for dollar, they are hard to beat in my opinion.

Thanks Dano. Benchmade's web site is up and running. They are changing to an oval hole on the 804 and on the 803 models they are going to use thumb studs and redesigned blade for more strength especially in the tip area. I like the hole myself as an opener, but I did not see the new oval shape on Benchmade's site. The picture looked just like a regular 800 model. I believe I am going to wait until the axis lock is available on the AFCK which I believe is coming in the near future. I owned a 710 model with the axis lock when they first came out, but I did not like the shape of the handle, but every thing else was perfect. An AFCK with an axis lock in my opinion would be a great knife, and one of the top factory production knives of all-time. Does anybody have any inside information on whether or not Benchmade is at least thinking about the AFCK axis, or a time table when it might be available.

The 803 and 813 models are the small and large versions of the TSEK. These have the same handles as the AFCK, but with a new blade shape and thumbstuds.

The 804 and 814 models are still named the AFCK, except the round hole has been changed to the oval.

I like the TSEK, too bad there's no mention of a version of it in HSS.

There are lots of pics of the new stuff, including pics of the AFCK w/ oval hole. There is also discussion of the much anticipated AFCK axis. It is my understanding that there will be a variation of some kind with an axis lock, but it won't be the AFCK.
