Hey guys
So I have a Benchmade 806D2 that I need to find the value of. I've found a bunch of F/S threads here and else where but they are all several years old. And I found one for sale that was NIB, it sold for $185. But Mine is not NIB, all though it did just come back from lifesharp today. The knife is in good shape over all but the blade looks like this.

Thanks for the help

i have seen and heard of axis AFCK's going for over $200 but they have to be in LNIB shape, they are disco'd now and have some collector interest, sorry to say any use at all kills all the collector value and it becomes a user, and thats a fairly well worn user at that with a lotta scuffs and such.

am sure its a great user though.

I'd say the finish wear isn't as much the value killer as what appears to be the loss of blade width, perhaps due to over-sharpening. I too have seen them, when like new, go for well over $200. I think the limited M4 version may have brought the value of the D2 ones down slightly, but probably not for long.

Thanks guys. I think that about sums it up. I'm probably going to end up trading it for another Benchmade model that I prefer for EDC.

I've followed the value pretty closely recently as I've been looking for a few of these. NIB ones have been going for 225. I'd bet that one would sell for $100. They have a strong following and someone could sand off the finish etc, assuming the handle is okay.

Hang onto it. There aren't gonna be anymore new ones made and the value will only go up with the passing of time.
There are many thousands of Benchmade collectors out there and more coming into the fold every week, month and year.
Not enough AFCK 806D2's to go around, ya know...

Thanks for the advice. I had entertained the idea of sanding off the finish and maybe taking to down to 2000 grit, but I don't know if it would be worth the time.
