Hi Guys, I own Spyderco knives only, but I have a question about a Benchmade. I found an older AFCK (I think this is what it is). It is a bigger one (blade about 4" long) with G-10 handle, ATS-34 steel and a ROUND HOLE in the blade. It is in very good shape. Do any of you have any idea of what it would be worth? Thanks for any info.

Ron

If it is mint probably around a 100 bucks. If not then less. I have found that the large size or small size AFCK makes no difference when it comes to price, at least that is what I have found on ebay. keepem sharp

lomgbow is correct, ~$100 if mint, a few yrs ago they were ~$70 so they are appreciating a little bit anyway FWIW.

most of the mini's i have seen are a little bit lower priced, say ~$80, most of the mini's i have seen are the 814's w/the oblong hole though, i havent seen a round hole mini AFCK in a while.

I just picked up a round hole ATS34 mini off ebay for 95 bucks that is nib. This has the old logo etc. I always liked the first one I had and thought it acted like a bigger knife than it was. Alot too will depend on how much you want it or someone else wants it. For instance the graphic Sebenza's don't seem to be going for as much as they used to on the secondary market. Don't know why that is really as it is probably the best put together high end prod. folder made today. keepem sharp

Is this like the one you just purchased? over all length about 7 1/2 inches --

this one is my favorite in my collection -- if it is the same one you got, let me know the Benchmade number, I no longer have the original box and don't know the model number

I think the # for those knives are BM800. I have had one for years and it is a very comfortable knife to use. John

..worth getting! It is however tip-down carry(no big deal-wonder if BM factory will drill for tip-up carry??)Very ,good steel, great blade geometry, very good ergonomics and one of the best of the liner-locks.My first Bm in fact. :)

It does appear to be in real good condition. Smooth action and all. The guy is asking $70 so it sounds like that is a fair price.
Thanks for the input, Ron

Haven't rec. it as of yet but it is the early version with ATS34 steel, round hole, double cloissone and round hole. From the pics not a mark on it and the edge has never been touched. Should be here on Mon I would think. keepem sharp
