Does anyone know if the origional Benchmade AFCK "mini" had a Spyderco hole? Or is it a different knife?

hunterfisher is correct, the earlier ones had a round hole and the later ones had a oval.

IIRC they only made the oval one for a yr or 2.

the round ones and ovals had different catalog numbers, and 154 vs ATS34 steel too, but they called both AFCK's.

The 812 (which was a really great knife) had the round hole.
It was replaced by the 814 that had the oval hole.

The original Mini AFCK's (model 812) had ATS-34 steel and a round hole. Later when Benchmade changed to the oval hole (model 814) the steel changed to 154CM. There are many cross-over models out there that have round holes with 154CM and oval holes in ATS-34. This also happened with the Accent lock back models. I have a friend at work who collects those cross-over models.

Yes and it's chamfered which I prefer....
