Benchmade axis blade interchangeability?

Is it possible to move benchmade blades between different axis lock knives? They have the same geometry in the locking area, the only thing that's doesn't appear to be consistent is the distance to the backspacers.

Only on a couple of models. 805 <-> 806, 705 blade -> 707 handle, and 525 <-> Mini Axis Bone collector and 520 <-> Full size Axis Bone collector.

There might be a few others, but off the top of my head those are the only blade swaps that work (I guess if you count 940 <-> 943, too).

I have put Gaucho blades in 940's and 943's and vice versa. I have swapped blades between 940's, 941's, 942's, and 943's. The Kulgera doesn't swap because the pivot bush is smaller.

I was thinking something along the lines of a 710 blade into a contego.

710 into a contego handle wont work. As mentioned, the only ones that are interchangeable are those in the same families, 805/806, 705/707, bone collector/presidio, and 94X. There may be a couple more, but generally they are not interchangeable.
