Please forgive the pictures, they are as good as I was able to get with my scanner. Because of that, I will explain the imperfections as best I can so there is no guessing in regards to condition (by the way, stop in the balisong forum to take part in the contest for a Parker Gypsy Tanto I am giving away).
Here I have a rare benchmade limited edition butterfly knife for sale. This particular one, a 46BK-601 was limited to only 75 made and this one is number 62 of that 75. This particular knife comes in it's original box with the users manual and benchmade stickers that have the matching serial number to the knife along with the nylon bag from benchmade.
This knife comes with a spring latch, Ti handles and blue anodized holes in the handles. This resell on this particular BM model knife is incredible but I won't be asking top dollar as this knife has some issues I will list. It has what a spear blade with an unsharpend swedge on the latchless side. The blade is marked on one side in the middle "Limited Edition #62" and on the tang it is marked with Benchmade USA 440C. The opposite tang side has the butterfly logo and a small 46 under the butterfly. It is put together with torque screws.
I have seen this knife in good condition on the internet sell between $450-$600. This one however has some issues so it is going to be much less than that. On the blade, the previous owner sharpend it. Because of this, it no longer has it's crisp clean edge on it. I was going to send it to lifesharp but then purchased an antique switchblade and needed to replace the money. I don't think this knife was flipped much but apparantly it was carried as I can see a few surface scratches in the light on the side of the blade that has the limited edition statement. The limited edition ink is fading but is still very legible. The coating on the edge going from the center of the knife to the top and going around the middle is wearing thin . On the side of the blade where the butterfly is, there is a scratch that can be seen in my blurry pics. On the side of the handle that the pocket clip isn't on, there are a few scratches on the latchless side. On the base of the handles, the coating on the very edge is wearing thin. I think I have explained anything fair enough.
With all of that being said, this is still a remarkable find. I am looking for $300 (preferrably paypal) or I would consider any combination of trade/money but I only like bali-songs, switchblades and antique slipjoints. I will consider all offers made so make one and lets see where it goes!
