I did a full clean-up on my Benchmade Barrage the other night, including on the pivot area of the blade. When I put it back together, the coil spring was out of position. I did find a video on youtube on how to fix that, so that isn't the issue. What is is that the thumbstuds must be removed in order to rectify this problem, which I was unable to do. I actually ended up breaking my T6 torx head trying to unscrew them. Are these loc-tited in? If so, what is my best course of action in regards to how I could go about removing them? My Barrage works excellently as a manual folder, but I'm going to miss that coil spring.

I have always heard heat to break lock tite. Never tried it myself. I think the usual tool is a soldering iron. Do a search for breaking loctite before you try it though. I would hate for you to ruin your barrage on my advice.

Yup loctited in.
Heat works and some kind of penetrating lube will also help.

My method:
I use a small piece of brass tag wrapped around the stud and gripped with a pair of visegrips.
Brass is much softer than steel.
So the studs suffer no scratches, the teeth of the visegrips dig into the brass, not the stud.
One set of visegrips with a brass sleeve from both sides works for me.
Just be careful to grip the stud firmly.....the first time.
If there is not sufficiant grip on the studs, the visegrips and brass will slide on the stud and that would not be good.
Good luck.
