What's everyone's opinion on the Benchmade barrage tanto for edc/hard use? I bought a new Hogue ex-a01 and it's to nice of a knife to beat up.

I have the original version of the Benchmade barrage and I find that the valox handles dont have the best grip ymmv. And use that hogue man it wants to be beat on!

My hogue don't have the best grip neither, aluminum scales. But yeah it's a heavy duty knife.

Funny I was looking into the barrage today and found a Reddit post where a guy said he had been beating on his tanto barrage like a rented gong at work for years, and it just kept on trucking

I think the barage is a fine knife. As mentioned above the handle is not so grippy but it opens with such authority.20241015_110540.jpg
