Question for the experts..I posted a thread not to long ago concerning the BM mini barrage, I see the ones i see for sale all have the assited openning device, is there anywhere, or a specific model number i should search for, concerning the non-assisted model..I am not much for assisted opened knives.

Barrage has two springs, you can still take 'em out, but it's a bit more complicated.

If you take the spring out does it screw up the function?...How do you guys rate this knives say compare to the griptilian?

The 670 APPARITION ...You can take the A.O. spring out on it...Although, it's discontinued...It's still a must have , in my book..

Only with the torsion bar removed would I consider a 670, and if offered an A/O Axis-based model like the 585/580 Barrage I wouldn't hesitate to get one of them instead. The spring assisted Axis is the current top of the list for A/O knives IMO.

Don't forget the barrage also has a lock which can lock the blade open or closed.Which the grip does not have but are usually only available on BM Auto's.
