I've had the Benchmite (link) for a few years. This is a lovely little knife but the opening mechanism crapped out quite some time ago. When I press the 'handle lever' the knife opens but gets stuck about half way. Does anyone know if there's a way to correct this (and if so, how?) or does the knife simply wear out after a certain point?

This was my first knife I ever bought myself when I was 15 or 16. I still have that sucker!
I've had issues with that a little bit, the most I can say is keep it clean. Clean and oil the pivot point, and where the spring slides along the tang. Also make sure the pivot point is at that sweet spot where it doesn't have wobble, but isn't too tight.
