Benchmade BK1 blade coating?

BK1, does it last, is it beneficial (corrosion or lubricity), or just pretty for shelf queens.

Works well for corrosion, in my experience.

Lasts about like any of the non-ti type coatings;i.e. it gets scratched and wears, but still seems to help prevent rust.

Lubricity - got me - but when I oil the blades, they seem to "hold" more oil.
