Benchmade BM43 - blade rubs against the grips

Hello,

this is my first posting here and I'll have to start with a problem :) Just received BM43 and noticed that while closing the knife the blade brushes against the grips. It seems as if there is too much play between the grips and the blade (in the bushings area).

Any ideas? What should I do? Is it normal for a bali-song blade to brush against the grips? Should I tighten the screws? Unfortunately I didn't buy The Blue Box tool kit.

Look for a # 8 Torx screwdriver at your local hardware store, or check your local electronic shops. Adjust the pivot screws to see if it helps.

I'll try to fasten the screws but there is a strange thing about the pivots, one is more recessed than the other one.

Here is the image of the pivots (lower part of the image):

Never mind the Razorback in the picture ;) And, I have an image of the blade brushing the handle :)

Overall, I'm not satisfied with the finish of the BM43. There are marks of the machine work all over the knife.

Even the blade has the marks of the sharpening tool. Really crude finish, even compared with the cheap Smith&Wesson SWAT SW3000 folder.

This is not unusual for a bali-song, particularly a production balisong. You can tighten it up, but I doubt that it will flip smoothly if you tighten it up enough to stop the blade from ever contacting the handle.
