Hi,

I've been carrying a BM707 Sequel for some time. I love it...it carries nicely, the axis action on it is perfect, and it holds a nice edge. I've been thinking about getting a second general carry knife. Can anyone recommend one they like as much or better than the 707?

Thanks!

Pete

kinger,
if you like the 707 so much, why not just buy a second one.
thats what i did with my 705's before they discontinued them.
by the way, i too bought the 707, what a jewel. love those benchmades,
i even stopped by the factory last year while on vacation.
that place has the same fit and finish as their knives

Mini-grip is close to the 707. Not quite as thin - you may or may not like it better in your hand.

There are some new Benchmade 705's that I've seen around, mostly on ebay that look pretty nice. They have the 705 blade with an olive green 707-style handle (aluminum with the G10 inserts). I really like the handle on my 707 and have been eyeing one of those new 705's.

Beat me to it. I carry this one, and it is tied with my 707 for favorite. I'm looking to switch it up with a 705 154CM plain edge, or a Spyderco Viele II, or a Sebenza small with micarta inlays or a 770 carbon fiber. My other favorite currently tied with my BM's is my Strider PT.

The featherlite has a very thin profile. Easy one hand open and close, esp for a lockback. Very light and affordable. I love mine.

As an alternative, consider a poliwog. I know they are a little heavy, but solidly built. VG-10 steel, ball lock. No blade play in mine. It's my EDC.

BM 720 is a little bigger, and a 710 is a quite a bit bigger, but they are both worth a look.

Buck 172
Small Sebenza
Kershaw Leek - especially the g10/s30v or titanium/zdp versions
