But update it with the axis lock!!!!! The Harsey T2 is a great design now owned by Benchmade.I would love to see one redesigned with an axis lock instead of a liner lock.:D If enough people agree here on the forum,it might give Benchmade an idea !! What do you think?

I really like the idea, but would prefer a T1, just because I like smaller knives... No reason they couldn't do the T1, 2, and 3.
They were a great knife, but I've never been a huge fan of liner locks. Getting rid of the liner lock and replacing it with the Axis lock would be an awesome knife

I'd support bringing back the T2. Pretty awesome knife and great design as is. If they brought it back with an AXIS version it would make it that much better but I'd still be very happy with the original.

Benchmade did indeed have plans of bringing back the automatic version of the LW T2 which was the LW D2. It was to be called the Benchmade NTK 3800 but rumor is that Harsey was not happy with quality control of the 3800 so instead of compromising on quality Harsey turned to Italian knife maker Fantoni for production. For all intents and purposes the T1 & T2 is now the Fantoni HB02 & HB01 respectively. Some on the forums believe that the quality of the Fantoni's are even better than it was with Lone Wolf. Also for an excellent value Gerber still offers the Gerber Harsey Air Ranger. With the exception of materials it is identical to the T1.

Thanks, casimirrx, for the pics and info. But I would say that the three knives you mention, while very similar in design ( they were after all designed by the same guy) all are different enough to be considered different models. But if Benchmade still owns the rights to the LW T2, I still would like to see it brought back updated with the axis lock :D

I don't know the answer but would not Mr. Harsey have to be involved in some fashion in order for one of his designs to be produced again?

I would love to see Benchmade bring back the T series. Honestly, I don't get the love for axis locks myself, but I've never really been into Benchmades. I've actually written a couple blog posts about how much I want a Lone Wolf T1

That is a GREAT question and one I meant to mention in my above reply. I am certain there are people from Benchmade who read this forum and who likely know the answer. I hope we can prevail on someone to answer.
