Benchmade+Buck 110=Harley Davidson Knives

Looks nice... I see what you mean by BM+Buck; it looks like a 110 and has an Axis.

On my "really thinking about buying" list.

Not too happy with the standard "Harley Davidson" over-priced policy, though.

Any chance we'll be able to find these cheaper somewhere else? I swear I'll never ever pay retail price.

Like everything elese, they'll eventually be in the flow and cheaper than retail.
I saw one these on the 'Bay earlier today and so they're out there. From photos I've seen they look like good knives, HD logo on them and all...

I like the knife design. The skull is a big turn-off though. :thumbdn: Why the heck does H-D assume that motorcyclists have some sort of death fetish?

Would look fantastic with cocobolo inlayed instead of the black plastic.

Did Buck and Benchmade collaborate on the 13100? That's a damn good looking knife :D

I really hope BM will release own, reasonably priced version of this knife (without collaboration with HD).

The Harley line (from what I heard) will eventually be in the hands of the average knife dealer as well as the licensed Harley stores where it is currently exclusive. Turns out that Benchmade realized that knife guys know how to sell them better than motorcycle guys. Funny thought. :D

As a Buck 110 guy, that thing has me drooling.I could do without the Harley badging and knock off about 60% of the cost.I like Hondas.:D

Well, yesterday I walked into my local HD dealership and asked about the BM knives. They said they wouldn't carry them 'cuz "They're too expensive...", BUT they COULD order one for me. I said "Huh" and walked out.

Considering what the average bike and associated setup costs, you'd think a GOOD knife would be more popular considering the average garbage knives they've sold over the years.

Hopefully that will change.

I've got the Hardtail 13100 and the Backroad 13200 that I picked up from a local H-D dealer about 20% off retail. Since I ride a Harley, I can live with the Harley branding, but both knives are fine pieces in their own right. The fit and finish are flawless on both.

I saw that some new models have been added recently--a smaller version of the Hardtail, a couple reinterpretations based on the Benchmite that double as money clips, one model with two blades, a cap lifter and a screwdriver, and one based on the Nitrous Striker--my personal favorite. I haven't actually seen any of the newest additions on sale yet, but I'm getting the "H-D" Nitrous when I find one at a decent price.

Please forgive the crappy cellphone picture--my digital camera is loaned out.
