Benchmade Clip Finish

Hey all,

I've got a handful of Benchmades and have used pretty much every iteration of the pocket clips over the years. I usually swap out the painted "Benchmade" clip for the black oxide "Benchmade USA" clip if I am staying with that style.

Recently I received a new clip for my 710 which appears to be a black oxide finish with just "Benchmade" stamped on it. Has the finish on the standard clip been changed? Are the "USA" clips still available? Any hope for a black oxide deep carry clip?

A quick call to Customer Service should confirm this; the last few black oxide clips I've ordered had the Benchmade stamping, and the finish looks different. But anything's better than the painted black variants, at least that's my opine!
