Benchmade Contego 810 with custom G10 scales. The original scales are too thin and sharp on the edges, with a strange cutout for the index and middle fingers. Very uncomfortable. The custom handles are made for the hand, the wave grinding provides incredible grip. Note how the cutouts above the choil are different on each side for my right-hand index finger.

Custom work by docp91b on Youtube.

A tad thick for my taste, but very cool nevertheless! Two tone custom scales will absolutely make it onto my 810. It's simply a matter of time.

All that ultimately matters is if you enjoy it! Do you intend on EDC'ing it?

Yes, I will EDC this one. It's pretty comfortable in the pocket actually. The larger grip is very comfortable because of the shape, but it would be too thick for a small hand. But consider the Adamas 275 which is even too thick for my medium size hand, and it's selling very well.

On the whole, it's probably better as a survival knife than an EDC, but it's so nice looking it would be a shame to leave it for camping and hiking only.

Looks comfortable and I see that you got rid of the unnecessary hardcore jumping on the steel liners it has to feel like a totally different knife now which is a good thing and I'm going to assume that you replace the aluminum backspacer with the window breaker oh boy with an actually G10 backspacer so if that's the case it's also lighter anyways nice looking scales
