Benchmade CQC-7?

In the current issue of BLADE magazine(Feb 2002), on page 14 under an article called "Freedom's Edge," there is a picture of a Leatherman Pulse and what appears to be a CQC-7 on top of an NYPD hat. Below the picture it is mentioned that the folder is a Benchmade CQC-7 (in tanto style), but I've never seen one that looked like the one in the picture. The handle (appears to be G-10) has some ridges. Also, the screws are not blackened as was the standard on Benchmade's model 970 and the current Emerson CQC-7B. The blade pictured does not have a company logo either. Has anyone ever seen a CQC-7 like the one pictured in BLADE?
