I have the chance to trade my mini cqc 15 to a benchamde 970 BTS NIB.

What do you guys think?? is it a good deal?? Should i keep it or sell it after the trade?
What would you do?

It's a knife that some would keep in a collection but it would be a fine user as well.

I personaly would go for it if you don't have one, if it's defo. in mint condition then it's worth a 15 and a bit more.

:)

That was the knife I fell in love with at 14-15 years old. No way in hell I was ever going to have one. Besides the cutlery store price tag of a hair higher than $200, my mother would never let me have anything more substantial than a SAK Classic. Locking blades... dream on :(

Get the knife. Then I can live my childhood dream vicariously through you :D

The design of Emerson, paired with the engineering and fit & finish of Benchmade - you can't go wrong with that combo. I say go for it.

From a collector's standpoint, get the BM/Emerson. If it's a user you're after, stick with your 15 or get a regular 7. If I had the BM/Emerson in my possession, I'd have traded it for 2 users long ago.

while i have had a few 970's and 975's, and like 'em ok, i would pass mostly because i dont carry tip down knives, also i have had a lotta '7s thru the yrs and have moved on from that design, if ya like it though, go for it, me, i would stay with the '15.

If you want the 970 purely for your collection, get it. The CQC15 can easily be replaced, maybe even cheaper on the exchange forum.

Thanks guys for the opinions and informations. I will trade my mini 15 to it, its for sure, but im pretty sure too that im gonna sell the 970 to provide funds for my HD7 project, which is my childhood dream (sorry Charlie Mike:))
